Where are you located?
We are located at 919 NE 10th Street 1 block west of the Sonic Drive-in that sits on the corner of 10th and Hwy 62.
What are your service times?
Sunday morning Worship is at 10:30 AM. Bible Study groups for all ages (Sunday School) meet before the service at 9:15 AM. We also have Sunday evening discipleship opportunities and worship services whose times and offerings vary throughout the year.
What are your services like?
Our Sunday morning service uses a blend of modern praise music and time-honored hymns using a praise band, praise team and choir. The music is upbeat and uplifting using a full-range of musical instruments such as keyboards, drums, guitars, horns and more. The services are designed to honor God and engage people. The atmosphere is comfortable and the people are very friendly. The preaching is passionate and practical, seeking to explain the eternal truths of God's Word and apply them to your everyday life.
What should I wear?
We're relaxed. Come in jeans or khakis; or if you prefer, come in a sport coat or dress. You'll find a variety of styles here. We're far more interested in your heart than your attire.
What about my children?
We have excellent ministries for your preschool and grade school children. The "pre-school and under" classrooms are all in west wing of the building where you'll find warm, friendly greeters at the Welcome Center to assist you in finding the right class(es) for your child(ren). The "kindergarten through 6th grade" classes are in the north wing (1st floor). We have a state-of-the-art electronic check-in system for your convenience at both locations. All of our caring and committed children's workers are trained and screened to insure your child the safest, most enjoyable experience possible.
We have Sunday School classes for all ages at 9:15 AM. We provide childcare thru age 4 during the Worship service. During the middle of the service Pre-k and K children exit for ETC (Extended Teaching Care). To find out more about our Children's Ministry, visit that webpage HERE.
What about my teenager?
Your 7th - 12th grade children will love it at FBC because our Student Ministry is high energy and high impact. We strive to help your teens develop Christ-like character, a Biblical worldview and a passion for serving the needs of others and sharing the gospel locally and around the world. Our students meet for Sunday School in the north wing (2nd floor). To find out more about our Student Ministry, visit www.blanchardyouth.org.
Where should I park?
If you have children, you will want to park on the west side which is where their classes are located. We have specially marked spaces for guests in front and on the west side. There is ample handicapped parking throughout. Most of our senior adult classes meet either in the east wing or in the rooms behind the Worship Center.
Do you pressure people to give?
Never - we care far more about you than your money. However, we do take up an offering each week because we rely on our member's financial support to cover all the operating expenses of all of our ministries, missions and programs.
Where do I get started?
Most people start out visiting a Sunday Morning Worship Service (10:30 AM) to get introduced to our church. To really get to know people, we hope that you'll take the next step by visiting one of our Sunday morning Bible Study groups (Sunday School) at 9:15 AM. That's best place to develop relationships with our people and to get plugged in to the full life of our church. Don't worry; the classes aren't designed to test your Bible knowledge, but to build it. Whether you have an extensive church background, or you're a beginner, you'll fit right in. Our greeters will help you find the class that's right for you.
